First Visit to Cy-Fair Healthcare Associates

Brief Paperwork

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out for your first visit. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Cy-Fair Chiropractic offers our patient forms online so they can be completed in the convenience of your own home or office.

Consultation

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent, which may or may not lead to some diagnostic services in order to rule out medical conditions requiring an immediate medical referral.

X-ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Treatment

Depending on the initial exam and history of complaints discussed with your doctor, treatment may be recommended during this visit. However, your doctor may want to start treatment after reviewing and discussing the x-ray findings and treatment plan with you on the second visit.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete report of findings or R.O.F. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.

Second Visit, Report of Findings (R.O.F.)

On your second visit, known as the "Report of Findings", your doctor will have assessed your x-rays and history of complaints, and will have prepared treatment options for your condition. These will be discussed in depth during this time and if needed, recommendations for any other diagnostic test and or referrals would be indicated. Unless your case is an emergency, treatment is usually provided after the report of findings.

Insurance benefits/coverage, financials, payment plans and options will also be discussed at this time with your case manager.
